Doseify collects and stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Medication names, dosages, and schedules you enter
• Profile names and preferences you create
• Dose history and tracking data
• Prescription images you capture (stored locally)
• App settings and preferences

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Display your medications and schedules within the app
• Send local notification reminders to your device
• Track your medication adherence history
• Process prescription images for text extraction (see Section 4)

3. Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage frameworks. We do not:

• Store your data on our servers
• Create user accounts or require registration
• Sync data to the cloud
• Share data with third parties for marketing

4. Prescription Scanning Feature

When you use the prescription scanning feature:

• Your prescription image is temporarily sent to OpenAI's API for text extraction
• The image is processed and immediately discarded by OpenAI
• OpenAI does not store or use your images for training purposes
• Extracted medication information is stored locally on your device

You can always add medications manually if you prefer not to use the scanning feature.

5. Permissions We Request

Camera: To scan prescription labels. Only accessed when you actively use the scanning feature.

Photo Library: To select existing photos of prescriptions. Only accessed when you choose to select a photo.

Notifications: To send medication reminders. You control when and how often you receive notifications.

6. Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete individual medications, profiles, or dose history within the app
• Uninstall the app to permanently delete all data from your device
• No data remains on our servers because we never store it there

7. Children's Privacy

Doseify may be used to manage medications for children under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
